What does it mean to work with volunteers with disabilities? Many real and perceived barriers prevent volunteer agencies from working with people with disabilities. Once these barriers are overcome, engaging volunteers with disabilities can be beneficial both to the volunteer and the agency.
Our own Jessica Miles will present on this topic sharing both her experiences working with volunteers with disabilities and her point of view as someone who is vision impaired.
This session is free for MVAVA members, and non-members are asked to pay $5 at the door. Feel free to bring your own lunch.
