The Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities is looking for partners!
This fall, the Greene County Board of Developmental Disabilities is expanding its mission to include transition services. The aim of this new endeavor is to partner with Greene County school districts to offer services that will help students with disabilities (ages 14-22) transition into the workforce.
We are looking for businesses that will allow students to volunteer and gain exposure to what it is like to work within your organization. Evidence indicates that the more exposure youth with disabilities have to vocational training and employment opportunities, the more readily they transition into the workforce.
What can you expect?
- 1-2 student volunteers with supervision
- Constant support from the GCBDD. You will never have students dropped off without supervision
- Hours of work will be during the school day
- A strong feeling of satisfaction that comes from investing in the life of a young person!
